Crash
Our engineers are currently investigating the problem regarding Dev/Canary not rendering properly or crashing. A fix has been implemented and it appears to have resolved the issue for some users. However, we understand that there are still individuals encountering this problem. Please follow these steps as a workaround:
- Close all instances of "msedge.exe" by killing the processes.
- Add the following command line argument to the "msedge.exe" executable: "msedge.exe --disable-features=msEnhancedTextContrast".
- Launch the browser again.
- In the address bar, enter "edge://flags/#edge-enhance-text-contrast".
- Select either "default" or "disable".
Jeremiah-V This workaround did not work for my work (primary) profile (@microsoft.com) on Edge Dev 115.0.1880.1, and it is the only profile (out of about 8 or so) that consistently crashes a few seconds after starting. I even tried starting with the --disable-extensions argument when starting, along with the one you suggested, and it did not help. My other profiles are able to continue working just fine (I'm on one of my personal profiles of Edge Dev right now). Any other features I can disable? It was working fine yesterday.

To send it, enter edge://crashes in the address bar > If you see corresponding crashes listed there, select the Send feedback section on the right > In the description enter "MS Edge Dev V.115.0.1880.1 Crash and send.

I have the same problem, and I can quickly navigate to edge://crashes but the browser will crash again before I can actually submit anything. Please advise.- powersshellJun 05, 2023Copper ContributorThis morning the browser was updated to 115.0.1880.3. The browser crashes are no longer happening this morning on version 115.0.1880.3.
