Chromium Edge Favorites Bar Jerky Scrolling

I'm using the latest published version of Edge. The web pages themselves are scrolling properly. I have all my favorites in folders in the Favorites Bar. Scrolling in the dropdown lists of favorites folders locks up and is jerky. This makes it a real annoyance to select a favorite. The problem is so bad I've switched to Firefox, though I like Edge better. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Edge and no improvement. Does anyone have any other remedies for this? Thanks!
