Casting to a chromecast is not detected

Hello guys,

I'm trying to use the casting option as my class uses chromecast to cast to the projector. I cant seem to connect to the chromecast even in my house. I tried in my other laptop that has the new edge browser and it didnt work also. Is there a glitch or an issue? Cus i cannot download chrome as im in Win 10 S mode
