blocking ads without third-party extensions.
AdGuard is mainly know for it's system-wide Windows software which is premium and you have to purchase it. in terms of of extensions, ublock origin is better with less system resource usage and more available filters.
AdGuard is also an effective tool for rooted Android phones to block system-wide ads.
AdGuard software can function in all installed browsers/programs, it uses more system resources because of the advanced techniques.
AdGuard system software is easily circumvented when user is using proxy or VPN.
another thing, ublock origin has no filter limit. you can add adguard filters, ad block plus filters and any other custom filters to it such as those that block bitcoin miners in websites.
here you can find them all:
with that website, you see that ublock origin is not just a normal adblocker, it's more like a platform full of possibilities and options.

I have AdGuard on Edge Classic and it was a free extension from the MS store. I Love the way it works and all the options you have with it. The security features are great along with many other blocking options. But since the Edge Team does not seem to want to add it here, I have now installed ublock and I like it as well, though compared to ADGuard, AdGuard has more blocking options...
Thanks for the info on ublock, ![]()

Dennis5mile You can also add the extension too this version of Edge. I just tried it and it worked fine. I uninstalled it because I only need one blocker, but I tested it and it worked. It's in the Google Chrome Store though, so click the link below. You don't need to log in to an account to add it. Just click on "Add to Chrome" (Yes, we're on Edge but it will still add the extension to the new Edge just fine). Most Chrome extensions download and work with Edge Chromium because they're both using the Chromium engine as their source.
(That is if this is the adguard you were talking about)

Thanks for the link. Using ublock and AdGuard.....

Dennis5mile I also tried to use adguard, but refused it because I noticed a decrease in page load speed. I don't notice that with ublock.
