android links
The letter tile means Edge did not obtain a usable icon. An installed web app’s name and icon normally come from the website’s web app manifest; when suitable icon metadata is absent or unreadable, the browser or launcher can generate a fallback initial. Edge does not provide a supported control for manually assigning a different image to each website shortcut. Update Edge and Android, delete one affected shortcut, reopen that site, and use Edge’s Install app or Add to phone option again. If the site offers an installable app, choose that instead of a basic page shortcut. You can also give the shortcut a distinctive name while adding it, or rename it afterward if your Android launcher supports that. If every re-created shortcut still shows a letter, the website owner must publish valid square icons in its web app manifest; this cannot be corrected from Edge settings.
