Add pages in Word

Hello,

I am composing a multi-page document comprised of several images. I have tried a number of times to manually add a page that I want to follow the page that my cursor is on. Instead each time it adds a page before the page my cursor is on. It would be helpful if somebody could explain what I am doing incorrectly and instruct me about how to fix the issue. Thank you!
