4K Streaming + HDR Support
Edge (Stable + Dev) is supposed to play HDR (Dolby Vision) content on Netflix and Youtube, but it does not appear to be working. Edge Legacy works perfectly fine in this regard. I have not been able to fix this behavior using any of the flags as well.
This does not matter much to me as I use the Netflix app and Youtube has very little content in HDR, but I would like to see this enabled anyway.
- Which graphic card do you have?
the legacy Edge and the new Edge which is based on Chromium, require different hardware specifications to provide HDR support.- Alexei_DrekkerIron Contributor
HotCakeX
CPU: Intel i7 8850H
RAM: 16GB
GPU: GTX 1050Ti
Windows 10 Build No: 1909
(Fully Updated)- GPU looks good, if you had the previous Gen (9th series) you would be having problem with HDR in Edge.
btw i also read that you need to be using HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.4. not sure if it's actually a requirement though, from your post it looks like you are already using HDR contents
