2-finger scrolling using touchpad on zoomed pages

I seem to have issues on 2-finger scrolling in the 81.0.396.0 version of Edge, when a page is zoomed using touchscreen gestures.

Here's what I observe:

- Open a page - for example, https://microsoftedgesupport.microsoft.com/hc/en-gb

- Use touchscreen pinch-zoom to zoom so the content doesn't fit in the screen

- Use 2-finger scroll on the touchpad to  pan the content to the right (i.e., to view the left part of the page) - this works fine

- Use 2-finger scroll to pan left (i.e., to view the right of the page) - this doesn't work

This doesn't happen in all pages, BTW - for example, the new tab page behaves just fine. The behavior is specific to Edge.

My laptop is X1 Carbon 3rd Gen, with a Synaptics Touchpad (driver: 19.0.17.141).
