That's great you're enjoying the new Edge insider, I have the same feeling about it ^^
Though why did you need to modify Windows registry for uninstalling Edge insider canary?
in regedit, current user and local machine, software relating to what I have uninstalled. Somebody told me years ago that this was a good idea for not having there things that I don't use.
Thanks.

Some more useful quotes, thought I'd share
after all, sharing is caring 😉
The Windows registry is a database that lists all of the configuration settings that determine how Windows looks and behaves. Sometimes, settings that are no longer needed will remain in the registry in case they are ever needed again. There's nothing unusual about this, and this data, while unused, is small in size.
Some products available for free on the Internet suggest the registry needs regular maintenance or cleaning. Occasionally, a registry setting can become corrupt but, in general, the registry is self-sufficient.
We strongly recommend that you only change values in the registry that you understand or have been instructed to change by a source you trust. Be sure to back up the registry before making any changes.
Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of, having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you. The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit it may have.- josegime47Oct 27, 2019Brass Contributor
Thanks for all the posts about the registry. I didn't know that windows 10 takes of that. I remember years ago I had to format my windows 7 because of ccleaner. From that date on I don't use registry cleaners.
Thanks again.- Drew1903Oct 28, 2019Silver Contributor

Jose,
#1. The use of Registry cleaners is NEVER recommended and ALWAYS discouraged. It should not be touched nor is it needed or helpful, often detrimental or potentially dangerous. And, yes, Windows 10 looks after itself in many, many ways.
#2. Since you mentioned CCleaner... it is a fine tool for CLEANING and recent versions offer Easy Clean so users don't have to be savvy enough to pick & chose what to be cleaned. BUT, CCleaner is only ever suggested for clean-up and NOT, for the use of its Registry part! In other words, see #1, above.
As a side note: (At this point in time) With the self-cleaning abilities in Windows 10 (& Edge/Edge C0 any need for cleaning via CCleaner is not very acute (anymore). Windows 10 has made it easy for even lay people to clean up their machines & maintain such 'clean' condition.
Cheers,
Drew

Microsoft doesn't recommend registry cleaning/cleaners anymore, what that person said was probably true but with the arrival of Windows 10, things got changed and Windows 10 auto-optimizes itself 🙂

What I have told my clients for years that is a good idea, don't muck about in the Registry.
