I wanted to congratulate the team that is working on Edge Chromium.
A few days ago I wanted to try something with the data I have in folder User Data (Local, Microsoft, Edge Beta).
First I had Canary installed. When Beta came I installed it and try to use that information in the beta and didn't work, most of all with the information I had in another profile. I uninstalled Canary including editing regedit.
So, some days ago, I installed Canary again and used the data contained in User Data from Beta.
Until now Canary is working fine and recognized everything including profiles, passwords, bookmarks, extensions, etc ...
So, congrats!

That's great you're enjoying the new Edge insider, I have the same feeling about it ^^
Though why did you need to modify Windows registry for uninstalling Edge insider canary?- josegime47Oct 27, 2019Brass ContributorI've have the good?/bad? habit of deleting the things that appear
in regedit, current user and local machine, software relating to what I have uninstalled. Somebody told me years ago that this was a good idea for not having there things that I don't use.
Thanks.- HotCakeXOct 27, 2019MVP
Some more useful quotes, thought I'd share
after all, sharing is caring 😉
The Windows registry is a database that lists all of the configuration settings that determine how Windows looks and behaves. Sometimes, settings that are no longer needed will remain in the registry in case they are ever needed again. There's nothing unusual about this, and this data, while unused, is small in size.
Some products available for free on the Internet suggest the registry needs regular maintenance or cleaning. Occasionally, a registry setting can become corrupt but, in general, the registry is self-sufficient.
We strongly recommend that you only change values in the registry that you understand or have been instructed to change by a source you trust. Be sure to back up the registry before making any changes.
Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of, having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you. The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit it may have.
