HI there. I use a surface pro 4 and a surface go as my primary windows machines. The chromium edge experience on my surface pro 4 is pretty good but it is choppy on my surface go. Much slower to use than the old edge browser which not only scrolls more smoothly but also loads pages and content faster. I think for the chromium version to be ready for full rollout it needs to perform at least as well as legacy edge does on lower powered devices like the surface go. For these reasons I have switched back to legacy edge on my surface go and will only check the chromium beta periodically to see if it has gotten better. Elliot Kirk

for the Smooth scrolling issue, you can active this flag called Smooth Scrolling
from here: edge://flags/
Also for improvements, Edge insider Dev and Canary always receive these updates faster so chances are you will get a better experience from them than Beta.
Beta is only updated every 1.5 Month.
