Really dumb question here but why do I not have a drop down to show what websites I have been too before? been using edge for a couple of weeks and always have to type the site in vs just clicking on the drop down and picking it out

Hi,
I know what beer is & I know what a yurt is, but, I'm not, at all, sure what a beeryurt is. Although, I am sure it's not a person's name 😉
I'm answering you, but, you may not find it a very exciting answer. I not only can't offer you an explanation, I cannot repro it, either. I decided not to bother with supporting pictures. As soon as you start typing in the address bar you should have a drop-down list based on what you are typing at that moment; starts populating with & from the 1st character. I could say I tested it, but, it just is used & or noticed all the time ergo, I didn't need to specifically test it; just tried what is, already, seen all the time.
One can, also, hold the back arrow down to see one's history & (re) select a past site.
I hope someone else can suggest why you are not seeing this (normal) behavior. It does not apply to New tab page, has to be a proper web page. And one does have to start typing not, just click.
Cheers,
Drew

So when we convert these users to this new browser in the future will need to make them aware, hey you just can’t click the drop down anymore and from my days on the help desk that is how a lot of people get to their frequently accessed pages.
