We're Listening!
Well you cant please everybody all the time but if people use edge based on chrome and don't swap to chrome its a win for Microsoft as for yourself you would always gravitate towards a more customisable browser I think this is for the majority of users not the handful who want to tinkerSajadi

I use a browser for 2 main things. 1 is browsing but the second is for debugging. I spend my entire day in debug tools so the better the experience for debugging is, the more i will gravitate to it for my work life. As for browsing itself, i always used IE over anything else because i liked the way it worked better but when true Edge came out, and the dropped support for IE, i moved away from it. I found myself using Firefox for every day browsing. Now that Edge is based on the engine i use the most, i thought i would give it a try. I can't say that it has advantages yet over Chromium itself but my hope is that MS can take it to new heights. I have supported MS for many years but with some of the recent moves they have made, i am less and less a supporter.

t seams to me they are listening a bit more but it will take a lot of voices to get changes made lots and lots shouting I used ie as my main browser but don't trust it nowtstauffer

I honestly have a hard time thinking MS listens to anything these forums say. I have posted to many forums and never get any responses from MS. And nothing I suggest, bug or otherwise, seems to get fixed. And yet here I am... Sometimes I wonder why :)
For me, right now, there is no compelling reason to use Edge over Chrome. I use Canary for all of my debugging and there is nothing to compete with it. IFF MS would take Chromium and expend it over what Chrome can do, then they might take the browser back but they have a long way to go IMHO.

Geordie,
We, really, do not recommend IE, anymore. It should be considered passe, obsolete. It lingered about, was kept, for a while, for a few Enterprise environments feeling they had to, still, have it for legacy programs they had. It will be totally gone or irrelevant, soon including, its Support.
Cheers,
Drew
