I am impressed with the new Edge! Loads must faster than the original and I see a great improvement in speed loading other webpages and apps. I was say at 30-40% improvement. That has to directly relate to the fact that this is Chromium based. Why would there be a sigificant change in this arena as compared to the original Edge? I am very curious!
Thank you,
Marc

I have to agree, this version of edge is much, much faster, however, it is not because it is chromium based. It is because right now it is stripped down and not loaded with all the bells and whistles the current edge or any other browsers have loading when you start them. Wait and see when they started adding the bells and whistles if the quick response of this browser does not slow down like all the others........
my 20 cents.. <---- inflation

It's a question whether response will drop, but, there is sure no question it's bare-bones, right now.

They should add some of the extra "bells and whisstles" as addons to the browser. With chromium they should be able to get mainstream chrome addons working too.

Well, personally, I do not use chrome and never will. I feel it is one of the most unsafe to use browsers out there. Doing nothing more than helping data miners get what they want....
Again, my 20 cents worth <---inflationDennis5mile

Same here. Never have liked or recommended Chrome, the browser. Chromium, as a platform, may be ok. But, have no interest in being bound to Chrome things. Technically stronger or whatever is fine, but, "don't fix what's not broken". People who like Edge, of which there are countless, are using it in preference to Chrome. Same as many prefer Bing to Google.
