I installed Edge Chromium (Dev channel), and so far already some positive points:
- faster page loading
- Edge + Pulse (Juniper SRX vpn) : I was unable to launch Jira through vpn connection, I had to use IE. Jira works fine with vpn + Edge Chromium, that's a great improvement when working remotely.
- The setting page is much better and organized
- Favorites: I remember the first version of Edge, that had no favorites management. Edge Chromium is still at an early stage and has the full management package, that's great!
Next steps: I'll test banking certificates to check if they work, I had also to use IE for those secured connections.
I'm missing the "ink / note" capability of the "regular" Edge. For me it's a "must have" feature.
