Apr 08, 2019Changing the default search is way too convoluted. Popular search engines should already be populated in a list instead of having to visit them and discovering them.
Also, I see that smooth scrolling is coming in future builds but please make a way for the user to disable this feature. I could never use the previous Edge since using smooth scrolling on a scroll wheel is extremely frustrating. The scrolling doesn't remain precise and there's always a feeling of lag. It's great for touchscreens but horrible to use with a mouse.

it would be great if we are able to change the search engine also on the first page, not only in the address bar.

Interesting. I have never had an issue with using the scroll-wheel in previous Edge. That is on several systems with a different mouse on each. However, each mouse is Logitech with the hyper-scroll function. Whether the scroll is free-wheeling or has the indented scroll turned on.
Other than the feeling of lag you mention, are there other issues?

Darrell Shannon I think it's just the way smooth scrolling is desgined that makes it difficult for me to use it. In non smooth scrolling for example, the page stops scrolling as soon as you stop scrolling on the scroll wheel, but with smooth scrolling the scrolling continues on for about a quarter to half a second.
