*Updated 9/3* Syncing in Microsoft Edge Preview Channels
Hi All,
We have rolled out a fix to the problem where clients were reporting error on sync. We expect an app restart should get the client back into a functional state for sync now. We so much appreciate your patience and willingness to help all this while. Apologies that it took us time to get this fix across to you. If you still see any errors, please submit using in-app feedback button (and drop me a private message so that we jump on it faster). Sincere thanks for working with us on building a better product.

which problems were you having with sync in Edge beta?

I still cannot sync and have sent in so many smiley feedbacks. I was told a few weeks ago that a upcoming release would solve the last of the sync issue but I still cannot sync.
It is able to pull my profile photo but displays an error for the sync status. I have tried different computers, signing out and back in etc.

- Oh, I have no problem at all at the moment! I just meant, I didn't want to change in the past because I wasn't aware that Edge had actual sync features. I did consider testing Edge Dev and Canary, but I wanted a minimum of stability, hence the beta channel 🙂 I was actually curious on what Edge would feel like based on Chromium, and I am impressed so far! Thanks for the quick reply though!
- Yeah beta seems to be more stable,
for me the deal breaker in beta is its update cycle (every 6 weeks) so I've been with Canary so far.
by the way, if you install Edge on your Android or IOS device, you can sync your passwords/favorites/address between desktop and phone.
more sync options are yet to come including History, Extension, Open tabs (currently only available on Canary and Dev) and lastly Collections sync. 🙂
