I'm gonna guess that the feature you are considering for managing vertical tabs, horizontal tabs, tab groups etc. is Workspaces 🙂

I'm not a fan of the new tab action menu even though your post has made it more clear what they are trying to do I just don't find it all that necessary when you can right-click to enable these features or to long-press on the tab x or the back arrow to see some of the previous tabs or pages
