Mar 10, 2021Good morning, I haven't had CCleaner for many years because Windows 10 has excellent disk cleanup tools! Edge is so carefully prepared to make settings that it clears files and files in the cache - according to the user's settings! It requires manual settings - but it works reliably and doesn't affect the functionality of the new Edge! In my opinion, Windows 10 does not require any additional tools! Edge's extensive settings allow for many individual settings - giving maximum user satisfaction and really working very well!
I recommend New Edge. Thank you very much "

Translating that from Polish I get

To which I say: yes, you can clear history and cookies in Edge, but it purges ALL cookies at once, meaning the next time you visit e.g. a forum, you'll have to log in again. CCleaner allows you to whitelist cookies for your favorite sites, while purging all others. IMO this is a great feature that I'd love to see implemented in Edge. Until then, I'll keep using CCleaner, but ATM that requires that I disable Startup Boost, close Edge, run CCleaner, start Edge, and re-enable Startup Boost. Not the end of the world, but it would be nice if this wasn't necessary.

ChromeRefugee "... you can clear history and cookies in Edge, but it purges ALL cookies at once [...] CCleaner allows you to whitelist cookies for your favorite sites, while purging all others"
In Edge:
- Menu ("...") > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > "Choose what to clear every time you close the browser"
- Turn "Cookies and other site data" on
- In the "Do not clear" list, add sites you don't want cookies to get deleted for
For example, for this site, you could add [*.]techcommunity.microsoft.com to the list; or if you use lots of Microsoft sites, add [*.]microsoft.com instead
To see which cookies are in-use for a site (and so which you might need to add) click the padlock icon to the left of the website address, then click "Cookies" at the bottom

Thank you very much for your reply!
informs that The New Edge currently has settings that can be customized for any site and does not need to clean all cookies!
The truth is that these settings need to be done manually - if they are not the default, but it can be compared to a whitelist!
I understand the habits of your favorite programs and i support it!
I just try to make the most of existing tools in the system and the New Edge - which allows a lot of customization and personalization of settings!
Yours sincerely!
I'll add a few screenshots.
