Edge Bar still is there in new Stable version for Windows 10, but auto-start is disabled
PauloCapelli Hi - Thanks for reaching out! We just released Microsoft Edge Stable Version 128.0.2739.42, which includes a new entry point in edge://settings/sidebar and includes an option to "Enable Edge Bar". This will allow you to detach the sidebar to the desktop to access your apps while outside of the browser.
Here is a screenshot:

Thanks Paulo for bringing this up
Kelly, I'm using 129.0.2779.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit) on win 10 & 11, but still can't detach the Edge Sidebar !!
Any clue ?
- PauloCapelliSep 11, 2024Copper ContributorI don`t know if there are some differences between the enterprise license and a normal one, but it seems that I can only detach my Edge Sidebar if I`m using my company`s notebook. My home notebook has the last version of Edge and the detach option doesn`t show up.

I'm experiencing exactly the same situation Paulo.
Try Canary channel {Version 130.0.2829.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)}, I think Microsoft is (retesting) the functionality and could bring it back in the near future. Kelly_Y
you can notice the new option added to the sidebar setting

Microsoft
mkhalifa PauloCapelli Hi - Just wanted to follow up on this! To see if your device has Edge Bar access or not you can check out Edge Bar | Microsoft Edge or Streamline access to your favorite sites and apps with Edge Bar - Microsoft Support. High level, if your device version doesn't have Windows Copilot in the lower right of the taskbar and you are on a Windows 10 device, you should generally have access.
The feature team also let me know they're fixing a bug which prevented typing in some apps of Edge Bar - that should be fixed in this Thursday's (in PST time) new Edge Stable update. The issue should be fixed as soon as you update your browser to the new version. Thanks for reaching out!
