Is .NET Desktop the successor of .NET Framework?
My understanding is that .NET Framework is no longer actively developed, and .NET Desktop is its successor, is that correct?
This is correct. Microsoft moved to MS NET Core. It stopped in 2022. Always review and check the support policy.
