The Case of the Self Uninstalling Office 365
There could be several reasons why Office 365 is uninstalling itself on some machines in your network. Here are some of the situations I have seen:
-
Operating system updates: Some operating system updates can cause compatibility issues with Office 365, leading to the program uninstalling itself.
-
Corruption of the Office 365 installation: If the Office 365 installation files are corrupted, the program may be unable to run properly and may uninstall itself.
-
Conflicts with other software: If other software installed on the machine is conflicting with Office 365, it may cause the program to uninstall itself.
-
Insufficient disk space: If the machine does not have enough disk space to run Office 365, it may uninstall itself to free up space.
To resolve the issue, you can try the following steps:
-
Check for updates: Ensure that all software, including the operating system and Office 365, is up to date.
-
Repair the Office 365 installation: You can use the Office 365 troubleshooter to repair the installation or reinstall Office 365.
-
Check for conflicts with other software: Uninstall any conflicting software and see if the issue persists.
-
Ensure sufficient disk space: Check the disk space on the machine and make sure that there is enough space for Office 365 to run.
I have seen this occur the most from insufficient disk space so I would look there...

We have attempted a few of these solutions on the laptops experiencing this issue but have not reviewed conflicting software and will look at that next.
