Add an on-premises application for remote access through Application Proxy in Azure Active Directory

I need to enable On premises application for Remote access. for that it requires Windows Server.

 

My question is : Can we Install Application proxy connector application on Windows Home or Windows Pro edition.

    According to this article you need at least Windows Server 2012 R2. A server OS is a must.
