Using MCC via DNS / DHCP before policy applies
Is there a way to direct traffic to local MCC for devices during setup phase or before the policy has been applied? During initial setup phase the first round of updates up to a feature update is downloaded and it would be great to utilize MCC at that step.

if your reference is towards using MCCE before the start of ESP, then this cannot be achieved via Intune policies, alternates are
- If it's a customized Autopilot build you can preset the DOCacheHost source to 1 in the image and then use OptionID 235 or if its a predefined MCCE then you can hardcode the docachhost value using gpedit

From my knowledge, without GPEdit or hardcoding of Cache Node IP or customizing your image you cannot direct your download traffic to MCCE Cache Node before the enrolment / registration process.
If gpedit is not an option you can try to create the below reg key with DOCacheHost value as your MCCE Cache Node
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DeliveryOptimization
