MCC Phantom Install

Installing on Windows 2022. WSL and WSL kernel are fully updated. MCC claims it installed successfully, but there is no distro installed. wsl --list says none exist. The wslip.txt file just shows: ...

hi

had seen issue similar to this [WSL Ubuntu Image detected running on IP : System.Object[], configuring port proxy], and in addition my device had issue with "F a i l e d   t o   a t t a c h   d i s k" step. During the installation, the installer was taking the path of the vhdx file as the old path [had retired installation couple of time. This made me search for the vhdx path and thats when i found the old vhdx information stored in Computer\HKEY_USERS\<GUID>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Lxss\{guid}, and the eht0 ip stored at Computer\HKEY_USERS\<guid>-4956998\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Lxss\NetIpAddress , delete the entire hive of Lxss and re-installed, which then helped in getting the right vhdx as well as the ip assigned to eth0

[GUID is the runtime account ID]

Also do check Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MicrosoftConnectedCache
