Hi marty5, thanks for your question.
The DOCacheHost setting is just an endpoint, like a CDN, and is not dependent on where it is on the network. The only thing to remember is the Delivery Optimization client will connect to the listed Microsoft Connected Cache servers in the order as they are listed. Hope that helps!

Carmen_Forsmanncould you clarify this in the documentation/settings? Ideally there is a setting to restrict contacting cache servers to the local subnet as devices in one branch could theoretically contact an MCC in another branch (assuming routing access) and therefore saturate a link unnecessarily.
