Clients using wrong MP

Hi all,

I have SCCM 1810. 1 SCCM site, 1 domain and a branch office in WAN with MP, DP and PXE enabled

For some reason both LAN and WAN WinPe clients are using the WAN management point instead of the one close to them.

I checked my boundary groups and it looks Ok. My TS are deployed as available to be able to choose the right one. from smsts.log I see that it always connects to the WAN MP: clibsmsmessagewinhttptransport send winhttpopenrequest URL "WAN MP".

The Client downloads what it needs from the correct DP, but when the images finish the time is set to the WAN MP (we have 7 hours differential) even though the time zone is correct.

I added another boot image and set it so each MP is using a different boot image. and made sure that my boundary groups are OK and it looks like the time problem went away, but I still have the with how the client uses the MP...

I found somewhere that the WinPe is using an MP list which means that it if my WAN server's name is A and my LAN server name is B it will always use my WAN server...

This can't be right, right?

We use all discoveries except network one (don't know if it's related...)
