Virtual machine to create for task scheduling

Hi there,

I've desktop app which I'm running locally on windows 10 machine. I exported the task from this app. The task has been scheduled  to run daily at 3 AM using windows task scheduler. The task contains some local files from C and D drive, so its running perfectly from scheduler.

Now we want it to be run on automatically on cloud/server same as its scheduled and runnig locally.

If I'm not wrong this is achievable with the help of VM. 

Which VM should I create ? Windows Server or Windows Client ? 

If the requirement not achivble through VM, what other solution should I go for ?
