Window 10 update

My system started updating Thursday.  Friday morning the time on the computer was 9:30 pm Thursday, the system was hung-up.  I powered the computer off  (several times), got the log-on screen and then it would freeze again.  As I cannot log-in, is there a way to resolve this problem?  Thank you
