Tech Community truncating URLs?

Good morning -

I'm having a hard time understanding how to get the Tech Community system to cease truncating URLs I include in posts. I've tried formatting them as code blocks, but that throws and error. In the end, information I'm trying to share to solve someone's problem gets hidden.
