My onedrive keeps pausing syncing

My onedrive keeps pausing syncing and telling me my fills are not currently syncing even though they are synced almost all the time, this error has just happened recently and it has not happened before.

  • A paused OneDrive icon means new changes are not currently synchronizing; it does not mean every previously uploaded file has disappeared. Open the cloud icon and distinguish an actual pause from a warning or sign-in error.

If it says Paused, select Resume syncing in the activity center. Manual pauses can last two, eight or twenty-four hours. On Windows, OneDrive can pause automatically when the PC enters battery saver mode or connects to a metered network. Check whether the pauses coincide with either condition, then test while connected to power and an unmetered network.

If you use personal and work OneDrive accounts, check each cloud icon separately because their pause states are independent. If synchronization pauses again immediately, record your operating system, OneDrive version, affected account type and exact activity-center message. Test one small new file and confirm it reaches OneDrive online before assuming synchronization is restored.
