Lost Access to the MTC Community After Alias Change

Hello,

I'm a MCT and can't access the MTC community site that I previously could access. My MTC doesn't expire until January 18, 2025. I recently added an alias email for security purposes and think that maybe is causing the issue. My email in my profile shows my alias rather than my original email address. Now I'm also worried the community site is exposing my alias which I use for security purposes. Please help.

Only our Tech Community administration team can see your email address, so your alias is not exposed.

However, you will need to shift your original email back as the primary alias for your account as that is what is being sent to MCT for authorization.

I'm sorry I understand what you're saying but the whole point of the alias is to protect the security of my account and now I'm being asked to be less secure? I don't have much choice at the moment because I need to get access to the MCT content. What's the process to correct this when a user is using an alias?

Hi Erik, I changed my primary email back to my original email and my new alias is still showing up as my primary email address in my settings in the community site. Thanks, Matt
