Live Transcript Issue

Dears,

 

I have a standard premium subscription not a Business pro. I am facing an issue in the live translation in Meetings, Most of the meetings in Spanish and I want to have a live English translation and I tried several options but I am not able to do it. 

 

Anyone can help me ?

    hi Israa91​ I ran into something similar, it’s a bit confusing, but this usually comes down to licensing rather than settings.

    In Microsoft Teams, live captions are available on most plans, but real-time translation (e.g., Spanish → English) is typically part of Teams Premium or Copilot features. If you’re on a standard/personal subscription, you’ll often only see captions in the original spoken language.

    A couple of things you can still check:

    Turn on Live captions during the meeting

    Look for a “Translate” option in captions (if it’s not there, it’s likely not enabled for your license)

    Make sure your app is fully updated

    Also, the meeting organizer’s license can impact what features are available to participants.

    Short answer: You’re probably not missing a setting it’s likely that live translation isn’t included in your current plan.

    If you really need this feature regularly, you may need to move to Teams Premium (or a Copilot-enabled setup). Otherwise, captions-only is the expected behavior on standard plans.
