Assistance Needed: Appeal for Microsoft Certification Profile Ban Removal

I just wanted to share a general update based on my understanding and experience with similar cases, which might help others going through the same situation.

Once a Microsoft Certification profile is flagged or banned, the primary step is to submit a detailed appeal to the Microsoft Security team at email address removed for privacy reasons. It’s important to clearly explain the situation, including any relevant context or evidence, and then wait for their response.

In most cases, if the issue is not a confirmed intentional violation (for example, technical glitches, hardware/environment issues, or other unintentional triggers), Microsoft may apply a temporary restriction rather than a permanent ban. Typically:

• After 6 months, the account may become eligible again for in-person test center exams.
• After 12 months from the initial restriction, the online proctoring access may also be restored.

The process is generally automatic, and Microsoft may not always send a separate notification once the restriction period changes, so candidates are advised to check their status periodically.

However, each case is reviewed individually. If there is a confirmed violation of exam policies, the outcome may be different and restrictions can be extended or made permanent depending on the severity.

I hope this helps others who are currently facing similar challenges. The key is to submit a proper appeal, be transparent, and patiently wait for the official response from the Microsoft Security team.
