CoPilot Feature Request: Change Cursor Placement On Mobile
Hi there,
(If this thread should be posted in a different section, please let me know, it would be appreciated. )
When accessing Copilot in a mobile browser (Chrome in this case), then submitting a prompt, the chatbot types out the response while quickly scrolling down the page and once complete, it places the cursor/focus in the chat box which in turn triggers the keyboard...
This is a minor inconvenience in that it's then necessary to click back on the screen above the chat box and scroll up to actually see and read the entire response (see attached gif).
-> With that in mind, the feature request is to have the end user's focus jump back to the start of the response rather than immediately to the keyboard. (This clearly is geared towards the use of a smaller mobile device screen, as most laptop/desktop screens likely wouldn't encounter such an issue.)
Thank you indeed for considering.

Hi Kidd_Ip
Thanks for the follow up...
Is "WAVE2" a reference to the recent design change at https://copilot.microsoft.com?
(It's now not possible to save/look up previous inquiries either, apparently 🫤 - I'm always mystified by software developers phasing out useful features completely rather than just making them optional settings and leaving the choice to the end user 🤷)
