How to permanently remove specific URLs from bing using bing webmaster tools?
Hi everyone, we’re managing the SEO for our websitehttp:// https://artsoft.pt and we’ve identified a few URLs that we’d like to remove permanently from Bing’s search results.
We’re aware of the temporary URL removal feature in Bing Webmaster Tools, and also of the possibility to block URLs using robots.txt. However, our question is:
Is there a way to request permanent removal of specific URLs directly within Bing Webmaster Tools, without needing to use robots.txt or meta tags?
We’d prefer a method that allows us to manage removals via the Webmaster interface for simplicity and transparency, especially for URLs that are no longer relevant or have been intentionally deindexed.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Bing Webmaster Tools doesn’t support permanent removal directly via the interface. To remove URLs permanently:
- Use the URL Removal Tool to block temporarily (90 days).
- Make the URL return a 404 or 410 HTTP status.
- Use URL Inspection to request re-crawl.
For faster and permanent removal, use 410 Gone. No need for robots.txt or meta tags if the page is deleted.
