windows virtual desktop

I would like to deploy Microsoft virtual desktop. I have been following guide by the Microsoft through this link https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/getting-started-with-windows-virtual-desktop/ba-p/391054 , however I am facing tons of error. My objectives as below:-

 

1. I would like to deploy the microsoft virtual desktop fully in cloud. I do not have onpremise AD and would like to place all in the cloud.

2. Should I deploy active directory in azure or azure domain services?

3. I followed the link however I fail to provision the microsoft virtual desktop but i did not deploy active directory but only azure domain services.

 

I would like to know the prerequite of the virtual desktop whether how to deploy active directory or azure domain service so that i can provision the virtual desktop.

    The host pool machines must be joined to the Azure AD Domain Services if you don't have your own Active Directory environment in Azure.
