Windows App External Keyboard Issues, Android Galaxy S10 Ultra Tablet
I am experiencing a few abnormal issues that I'd like to raise for awareness. Not major, as I'm sure I can find workarounds and get used to it but they are inconvenient for me. And I believe this mig...
Try this as workarounds:
- Remap Cmd Key
- Remap Cmd to Ctrl or Alt to avoid triggering Android Home.
- You may need to grant accessibility permissions.
- Test in Safe Mode
Boot your tablet into Safe Mode to rule out third-party interference:
- Press and hold Power > Tap and hold “Power Off” > Select “Safe Mode”.
- Test keyboard behavior in Windows App.
- Use Samsung Keyboard Settings
Go to: Settings > General Management > Physical Keyboard
- Check if you can customize modifier key behavior.
- Some users report success by toggling “Show Input Method” or changing layout to “PC-style”.
- Try Samsung DeX Mode
If you’re using DeX, switch to standard tablet mode or vice versa. Keyboard behavior can differ between modes.
- Clear Cache of Windows App
- Go to Settings > Apps > Windows App > Storage
Tap Clear Cache (not Clear Data)
