We have disabled RDP Shortpath completely and switched back to TCP for stability and aid reconnect however we experience this issue as well for a fair few users everyday so we are keen to get to the bottom of this.

I doubt we will anytime soon. I did the same thing on disabling and have had huge improvements. But it's still have occasional disconnects. Way less stable compared to the days of running this stuff in my own datacenter.
My next issue is I have to run all my clients on 1.2.4337.0 of the Remote Desktop client. As any newer version has started to have video issues where it draws windows as black boxes or it warps the image. 1.2.4337.0 Doesn't have any issues at all. I have tried disabling all the video acceleration and changing compression algorithms with the newer versions and nothing works. It only happens to remoteapps and not the full desktop as well.
I submitted a case about it a month ago and I have yet to have anyone take the case to look at it or let me know they are already tracking it as a bug. Hence why I doubt we will see this issue anytime soon. Azure doesn't care, hence why they outsource support and the break fix support teams are tiny. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger to bring this back in house. Microsoft has built a house of cards I think.

- Tejas5190Aug 15, 2024Copper ContributorGraphic issues in remote apps may now be sorted as remote groups use a complete new host pool and app group. Remember a Remote app is not a true windows shell hence has limited capabilities. If the issue is with MS apps we can help for third party apps you may have to check with the OEM for support
