Version 1.2.3667 of the Windows Desktop client for AVD has been released to all users!

This morning we released an update of the Windows Desktop client (MSRDC) to all users. Check out What’s New in this release and as always, appreciate any feedback.

Previously, while using AVD I could select whether to use my headset, monitor speakers or laptop speakers from within AVD when using teams. This let me chose the most appropriate audio handling depending on the meeting type. As of 1.2.3667 the option of audio handling has been removed and there is only the less useful “Remote Audio”, requiring me to use the local windows audio options to change any settings. This is less convenient and is an inferior experience than was available previously.
1.2.3577 - the options are available, In 1.2.3667 and 1.2.3770 the local audio devices no longer seem to be forwarded to AVD and only "Remote Audio" is available.

Hi Daniel, are you AVD Media Optimized when the "Remote Audio" option displays?
You can verify this by going to ... -> About -> Version on Teams.

    Sorry for the late reply.
    With version 1.2.3577.0 I see
    You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.376 (64-bit). AVD Media Optimized. It was last updated on 1/30/23.
    But if I use
    1.2.3667.0 or 1.2.3770.0 I am shown.
    You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.376 (64-bit). AVD Media Not Connected. It was last updated on 1/30/23.
