User is not found when trying to assign to VDI in Hostpool

Question

Ok, so I have never used VDI's in Azure so this is all new to me.

At work we created a new VDI witihin the session host.

It's staus is available and it says (Assign) however when I try to add a user which is in Azure AD.

I can't find the user... I have no idea why?

Please advise.

Are these users Cloud Only and part of your tenancy (is AVD Azure AD joined or Hybrid)?

Azure Virtual Desktop, doesn't currently support Guest users: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/faq

Apparently becase they had already been assinged another VDI was the issue.
