Use Addins with WVD Desktop Client

How can I get the WVD desktop client (from aka.ms/wvdclient) to recognize terminal services client addins?

I am registering an addin in the registry under

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default\AddIns\

But the WVD desktop client does not read/respect this registry key. How can I get the necessary add on registered such that it works with the WVD desktop client?

      Scott1963 this is a scanner addin...nothing special. A button in the remote session is supposed to launch a scanning app on the local client. That's what the addin does. I just need to make the addin work for the WVD native client.
