Update 20H2 to 21H2
Hi we run two AVD hosts with win20h2. Both were deployed from the official azure image "Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session, version 20H2". Now we would like to upgrade to 21H2. Can I only run the ...

You can indeed update as it were a normal client, however I would not recommend this.
With Azure Virtual Desktop it's better to manage the hosts using image management instead. Personally, I would create a new image using 21H2, add on your customsiations and then either delete and recreate your existing hosts, or depoy 2 new hosts using the new image, and then decomission the old ones when you are happy they are working.
In-place upgrades always tend to bring their own issues in AVD/Multi-session environments!
