Rebuilding session hosts - reset name prefix squence
Hello there,
I noticed if I rebuild some session hosts in a hostpool (after I delete all existing ones), it continues the squeunce as in machinename-5, machinename-6 instead of starting back at machinename-0, machinename-1.
Is there any way to have it always restart at machinename-0 instead of incrementing from the last one.
I deleted the session hosts and waited 3 hours before rebuild and also reset all the computer objects in AD but still incremented, sometimes it started at 0 but I am not sure how to make sure it always resets if I want it.
Same goes if I delete a session host machinename-2 our of machinename-0 to machinename-5. If I rebuild, I would expect it to use machinename-2 but what sometimes happens it is picks up machinename-6
I could not find any documentation that talks about it.

Its a very valid ask.. I am aware of other technologies that allow "reuse of machine account" at this time i don't know of this option. It's time to raise a feature request and if enough upvotes the chances its will come into the product - https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/azure-virtual-desktop-feedback/idb-p/AzureVirtualDesktop
