Seems the Multiple Desktop Assignments to a Single User feature is a known limitation:

 

1. Feature in Public Preview: The Multiple Desktop Assignments to a Single User feature is currently in public preview. Features in preview often have limitations or unresolved issues.
2. Potential Workaround: For now, you may need to continue using the original AVD access URL until Microsoft resolves the issue with the Windows 365 portal.
