Azure Virtual Desktop - Black Screens on logins - What we've tried so far
BrianPitt
I've installed the KIR tonight on all my windows 10 VM's in the host pool and 'Disabled' it in the gpedit.msc, seems counter intuitive 🤔
I'm still seeing a lot of information logs in the eventviewer about about appx crashing but no more warnings or errors, so will see how it goes in the morning when 100 users log on I suppose
Will post update tomorrow.
**EDIT**
Still getting Warnings/errors in eventviewer, but no black screen and MS apps seem to be loading OK
Failure to load the application settings for package Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_......

- djordan1910Oct 22, 2024Copper ContributorDo we need to rollback the previous KIR or can this go over it?

djordan1910 I uninstalled the KIR because it only takes a second to run it again and click remove and it deletes the GPO, and I assume removes the registry key but I didn’t check that.
- AdamMcOct 22, 2024Copper ContributorIt would be nice if we had a way to get ahold of this update without being a part of the insider preview. Maybe since it resolved such a major issue it should be available to all.
- Robert_HurdOct 22, 2024Brass ContributorThe update is showing up in the catalog now.

Thank you for that update. I will test tomorrow. Have people getting audited and can't even uninstall vulnerable leftover ms store crap without using appx. Only other option is winget and I am not deploying winget to all the devices just for this. Winget also uses appx commands to install. Not even certain that works with these crashes
