Check your FSlogix profile settings on the new host and make sure they match the old hosts. use the FSlogix RedirXMLSourceFolder for teams if the image didn't have it configured.

I had already checked settings on the old an new hosts match.
Further investigation has found that the C:\Users\username and C:\User\local_username profile folders are created and removed upon every login.
The C:\Users\username stays put if users don't logoff properly. If we delete this then a new one is created with the aforementioned scenario.
I guess my question now is, is it normal for the profiles to be download and recreated upon every login on a session host ( thus copying several gigs worth of data ) , or should a local copy of the profile persist and then synched upon login and logoff.
This is how it used to work with our previous on-prem Remote Desktop Services setup.
There doesn't seem to be any documentation of what the correct scenario is.
