PUBLIC PREVIEW: Announcing public preview of Azure AD joined VMs
- Jul 15, 2021End-to-end single sign-on is definitely something we are working on but isn't available in the first release due to the protocol we are using. We know how important that feature it.
DavidBelanger Thanks! but is there also any public preview for FSLogix profiles on Azure Files if we are only using purely Azure AD users? Also for the meantime, is there any work around to store a userprofiles other than localprofiles for Azure AD joined VMs?

FSlogix with Azure files works perfectly fine in an all M365/Azure system. If you're doing hybrid not sure there.
We use it and it's been working. As for AZ joined; we plan to use intune with some onedrive redirections and probably skip trying to deal with the full profile. Really depends on the environment though.

CloudMcStuffins Oh! are you using the Intune to redirect all the userprofiles to one drive? Is it possible to redirect it also to an Azure Files using Intune? We are trying to achieve the cloud only setup for our AVD and not hybrid and seems like FSLogix in Azure Files does not support the AAD joined VMs
- CloudMcStuffinsAug 24, 2021Copper ContributorYeah I don't think AAD joined support anything right now but intune.
We do it 2 ways. Our AVD test right now is using fslogix to a azure files SA.
Our laptops desktops use onedrive known folders redirect so desktop/pics/docs are saved in onedrive but not all of the profile information.
Our plan is to test that with AAD AVD joined vms to see if it works for our use case but not having a full profile may not be ideal. Waiting on the AAD join to go full production before really working with it. I've never tried redirecting anything onedrive to an SA in AZ. I assume that could be done but it's just never come up for us.
