No Internet Accesss issues across AVD
Hi, We have this ongoing battle with Internet Access detection in AVD, we have several sites that have similar issue. When Autoscaler kicks in, in the morning, boots the machines up, we can on o...

Brilliant, thank you for you reply.
So to be sure, you have enabled passive polling by setting the value to 0 which has improved your AVD experience?
Did you also have to setup static IP's on the hosts as suggested by other people above?
Thanks, Liam

Hi Liam,
Yes thats right, and this will most probably be in your GPO if you have one thats been taken off the internet to do with Optimizing WVD, and the location of that setting in GPO is:
Computer Config > Admin Templates > Network > Network Connectivity Status Indicator > Specify Passive Polling = Disabled
And no we dont have static IP's on the hosts, everything is back to how it should be and working great now... so glad I found this post, been working with MS support for months and they could not see what was happening. They were blaming the Image, Firewall, AV litrially everything!
Good luck and hope this sorts you out

For anyone that comes across this issue in AVD. I setup a scheduled task to run on boot with a PS script to disable Ipv4 CheckSum on both UDP and TCP, then restart the NIC. This causes a 1 second drop in network connectivity but we pre-stage our hosts using Nerdio so this causes no issues as the hosts get powered on before users start to connect. The reason I chose to do this on boot is that the NIC seems to revert back to the old config after the hosts re-image/re-size and these settings dont apply to the hosts if simply set in the golden image.
Anyway this fixed the issue for me, but disabling passive polling and enabling global DNS on the Network connectivity status indicator through GPO both seemed to help also.
