No Internet Accesss issues across AVD
Not sure if either of you are still experiencing this issue, but if you are, can you check on your AVD Session Hosts for the existence of Registry Key:
"RegItemPath": "HKLM:\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\NetworkConnectivityStatusIndicator",
"RegItemValueName": "DisablePassivePolling",
"RegItemValueType": "DWord",
"RegItemValue": "1",We have this Registry Key enabled on AVD Session Hosts that we've experienced the issue on. Happened to chance across this https://github.com/The-Virtual-Desktop-Team/Virtual-Desktop-Optimization-Tool/issues/136 on GitHub which matches the issue. You may have run the Azure Virtual Desktop Optimisation Script (VDOT) which previous versions have created this key, so I think that's where we have come across the issue.
I've not removed it yet, as I am still identifying the systems it's on, but I would be interested to know if any of your systems have it also? Thanks
- gjone92Feb 20, 2023Copper ContributorI can confirm that we do have that key enabled! , but we are using a new version of VDOT, but cant seem to find anything in the VDOT that would change that key. Ill go and change the value to 0 on a few VM's and see how it goes 🙂
Good find!- ltbm_LiamApr 12, 2023Copper Contributor
Hi, did running through this change to the reg key mentioned fix the issue for you?
We are seeing this exact same problem in our AVD environment.

Hey,
Yes it did!
Make sure you check your GPO's just incase you have any Optimisation ones that has this value enabled also. As we had 2 GPO's conflicting with enabling and disabling this value.But yeah been a nice few months now of no issues with our AVD Desktops.
